“ This visit was my second time at Hungry Hiker Ferndale. I received a friendly welcoming on arrival and was presented with a menu promptly. I had a traditional breakfast with bacon. The eggs were cooked perfectly to order and 4 strips of bacon is what comes with it not just 3 like most places. The only criticism I could do would be that the home fries are deep fried as opposed to griddle, but I still gave it a 5⭐, it’s not a deal breaker as I know that a restaurant need extra grill space to offer that. The restaurant is tidy and clean as well as the restroom. The service was attendive and professional, friendly. ”

Sour dough bread available and they use actual butter like every restaurant should... Food is ready quickly and consistently delicious. Staff is friendly and good service. Glad to see most reviews reflect this - anyone leaving this place a crappy review is the type of person that you can never satisfy anyway. 10/10 breakfast always! ”

“ Great Grilled Cheese Sandwich with Bacon and awesome Saturday night live music. The vibe is so amazing that you would fall in love with the food and place. Lots of parking and just on the highway 6 so entry and exit is super easy. Service is just wow! Must visit on the way to Tobermory. ”

“ We frequent this restaurant often for breakfast & lunch and are always pleased with our experience. The menu is small, but they use quality bread products (hallelujah sourdough!), have their own twist on some basic sides (dilly fries are A+!) and we always leave full & satisfied. The service is what really makes the place special - a few of the male servers are by far the best on the Peninsula! Prices are very reasonable and it’s nice that they are licensed if you feel like a beer with your BLT. Well done Hungry Hiker! You’re a welcome addition to the community! ”

“ Had a nice meal after hiking. I like how the burger patty is thick and homemade and not overly salty. Brisket poutine is fresh and nice, with a lot of sweet BBQ sauce which overpowers the gravy a bit. Soup is quite creamy but would be nice if weather is not hot. A busy place in the small town. Service is a little slow because of how busy it is but very kind. ”
